Update for Sara and the triplets

As you have probably noticed, there wasn't an update last week. We had a huge scare and its not over yet. On Friday June 24th Sara had one of the scariest moments of her pregnancy.  It was the day that marked her 9th week. At 6:00 am she started gushing blood with clots. She was convinced that it was all over and that she had miscarried. After arriving at Dr. Werlins office she had an exam that confirmed that her cervix was closed and that he couldn't see anything strange. Next it was time to have an ultrasound. This is where the good news comes into play. It was there that we saw 3 healthy babies with strong heartbeats. They were moving around almost like they were trying to say hey mom we are still here and doing well! Dr. Werlin told her that he has seen this happen with multiples and put her on strict bed rest. She went home but still continued to bleed. It tapered off and she started spotting instead of bleeding. We were convinced this nightmare was over.

Flash forward to Monday June 27th. At 4:00 am she woke to gushing blood once again. It seemed heavier with more clots, once again she was headed to Dr. Werlin. Thankfully he confirmed all babies were healthy again and her cervix was still closed. He then told her if she were to fill a pad in one hour then she would need to go to the emergency room with Kaiser. He sent her home to continue her bed rest. Again she continued to bleed but it tapered off like the first time.

Nightmare continues, Wednesday June 29th. At 9:30 pm she doesn't feel well and she heads to the bathroom where once again the blood is gushing this time more than ever with more clots. She definitely would have filled a pad and then some, so Joe came home from work and took her to the ER. This night was a disaster! She was treated really crappy and was told that there is nothing that they can do (as if she didn't already know this). She was not looking for a magic pill to stop the bleeding she simply wanted to make sure that she didn't pass her babies in the toilet! She was told that she had a subchronic hemorrhage and unless she is cramping and bleeding more than she was, not to come back.(Gotta love Kaiser doctors, good thing I was not there let's just leave it at that)  Fortunately they also confirmed babies were okay and they got to hear the heartbeats this time. So again she was sent home back to bed rest.

Current status update!
Well today she had a Kaiser appointment to fill out some paperwork and get some blood work done. She was scared to death to move, even if it was only a little bit of walking. Yesterday she had light brown blood all day and today she has had no blood!!!! Everyone has been praying, we have such a great group of friends and family for support! Tomorrow marks week 10. She has an appointment with Dr. Werlin tomorrow morning. I will post another update then. Thanks for all of the support and thank you to all of the people who have been helping out with bringing my sister meals. Lets all keep praying that we see no more blood!!!!
